Smartphone software for your laptop

I have a laptop computer but I can't get internet while I'm at work because my company has a hard wired network and they don't want employees using the internet. I spoke to the general manager about having free wireless internet for the employees but the general manager told me that employees would take advantage of this benefit and abuse it by looking at pornography and things like that. I can understand that but why not put restrictions on certain websites? I'm sure it can be done. Anyways, one of bus drivers gave me a tip one day about some great software that I can download to my smartphone and use this to get free wireless internet for my laptop via my smartphone. I have a data plan with verizon wireless and so one day I tried tethering my smartphone to my laptop while at work. Bad idea since verizon already figured this out a long time ago and wants to charge an additional $50.00 per month to tether your laptop to your smartphone. Anyways, this bus driver told me about the junefabric website that has this cool software called PDANet for your android phone that you can download and configure your computer to use the internet signal off your phone to get internet for your laptop. I tried it but there's just one problem. When I go to search for my phone using the bluetooth feature on my laptop, it can't find it so I had to order a bluetooth doogle online and now I'm waiting for it to come in the mail. It only cost $1.80 so how can I go wrong. Well, I'm hoping it will work after this. The bus driver had no problem installing and using the software on his computer but maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'll wait for the bluetooth device to come and try it again.

New Acer Aspire laptop computer

The new Acer aspire laptop I ordered from finger-hut last week finally arrived but I wasn't home to accept it so I had fedex drop it off at the neighbors door. We have a lot of pending task so this new laptop couldn't come soon enough. We have only one computer working at the time so it's really put a dampener on our blogs. I received the laptop on a Saturday while I was at work but I didn't get to use until Monday because I came home late from work and have too many other things to do like being a father to my kids, making meals for my family, ect. Now I'm using it to write this blog and i'm learning all the tricks to it. It will take time to get used to the new keyboard but otherwise it's not such a bad laptop.

Another Open (Note)book

If i were my laptop computer i would have to endure daily punishment from my 2 year old son. My computer monitor is constantly getting written on with crayola crayons and i don't know if i can take much more of this abuse. My screen has some permanent scratches that won't come out. The other day my son tried to push a car key into one of my USB slots but daddy got mad at me for doing that. I'm missing the dummy card for the media reader slot because my son kept taking it out of the laptop and playing with it. Some of the decals have been peeling off on the top of me because many times I'm acting like a kitchen table instead of a laptop. I.e. (kitchen bowls and plates and books sitting on me). One day i was sitting on our living room couch minding my own business when low and behold my 2 year old son decides to walk on the computer screen. The laptop cover was closed but i cringed to the fact that maybe the screen had cracked or wouldn't work anymore after he had just walked on it. Thankfully it started up without any problem. Talk about enduring a severe stress test! I've been think purchasing another laptop because i need something for my work and I've been looking at the HP HDX 16t premium series notebook. I like the fact that it comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6400, Integrated webcam, fingerprint reader, & microphone. My current laptop came with the AMD turion 64 X 2 processor which i think is a little under powered but it's a year and a half old so i can't return it. I've had intel processors all my life so it's unusual for me to switch to something else. Hp is offering a great deal and you can get $500 off instantly when you purchase an HP HDX 16t with $300 coupon code NBN3248 + $200 Instant Rebate. Valid through 8/23 or while supplies last. Restrictions and exclusions apply.

I went ahead and weighed them just to make sure. I'm sure the family will all be happy to recieve all these wonderful gifts and all. But before we went shopping we stopped by at best buy in national city,CA look at the laptop computers on sale since i promised my wife i was going to buy her one once we recieve my tax refund. we found a great deal on a Acer Extensa laptop with the AMD Turion 64 X 2 chipset.
