Boeing 787 DreamLiner's first flight

This morning while listening to the local news, I got word that the new and much anticipated debut of the Boeing 787 dreamliner was going to stop into San Diego's Lindbergh Field as it completes its around the world tour. It will stop in San Diego to show off it's wings and welcome local Goodrich Corp and Hamilton Sundstrand Employees who helped build the next-generation plane. But the viewing of this beautiful aircraft will not be made available to the public. I wanted to go downtown to watch it come into San Diego but since I have kids that need to be taken to school, and watched at home, I wasn't able to make it. I posted this video of the 787 dreamliners first flight which even though I'm not there, it's still a sight to see. It took off from Boeings Paine field Airport for a 5 hour flight test.

Latest find

The nice thing with working online is that I'm exposed and updated to a range of different topics and the latest news out there. I'm grateful because everyday I get to learn new things through the pages I visit, articles I read, and people I meet. For instance, whenever I feel like reading something scientific, I will just visit SciTechDaily because it is a website that tackles everything about science and technology news, gadgets and innovation. Right now, I am checking this particular news about Greenland's accelerated ice lost, resulting to extra sea level rise. I wonder if it has a connection to the colder weather we're experiencing right now? Well it pays to have a brain exercise once in a while and a good way to do it is through reading. Good thing there are web pages that serves like a virtual magazine where we can find good articles and other interesting stuff. Aside to the news they provide, they also offer discount coupons like Expedia coupons and Travelocity coupons. It's for those planning their vacation and getaway; there are great deals available for your next trip. Anyway, might as well keep this link saved in my favorites. It can be helpful not just for me but for the kids as well, at school or science projects perhaps.

Black Friday Violence reported in walmart

I was reading the headline news the other day and was disgusted with an article I read about Black Friday being marred by pepper spraying customers, smash and grab looters and bloody scenes in the shopping aisles. A woman pepper sprayed a crowd of shoppers to gain an edge as employees were opening a crate of xbox 360's. In another instance, a group of shoppers were walking to their car to put their packages away when a man walked up demanding they give up their packages. The robber had a gun. When the group didn't give in, the robber shot one person, critically injuring him. He was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. These people have become like animals. The woman who used pepper spray on the crowd fled the scene but later went to a local police station and turned herself in. My son needed a new pair of shoes the other day and I told my wife that if we go by Walmart and I even see a hint of long lines and crowded parking lots, were driving right by. I want nothing to do with this madness. It's just gotten insane and is no longer safe. Several co-workers I spoke to the other day agreed with me. These people should know better and already have enough stuff but they want more. For what? Just to save a couple hundred dollars on an xbox console? Will that make you happy? Until a next year and then you'll want something better. It's all vanity I tell you.

Miss Universe 2008

Well, and the winner of the 2008 miss universe pageant goes to Miss Venezuela. WoW! there were some many beautiful women. But the spectacle of the night was when miss USA fell down during the evening gown competition. That must have been embarrassing for her. An elated Dayana Mendoza received the crown from her predecessor, Riyo Mori of Japan, and then prepared to meet a swarm of reporters. Miss Venezuela, 22, was once kidnapped in her homeland and said the experience taught her to remain poised under pressure. Also during the 2007 miss universe contest that was held in Mexico city Miss USA Rachel Smith also tumbled during the evening gown competition and became an unintended star on You Tube, where the video was shown over and over again. Stewart quickly stood up after her fall and continued on as if nothing had happened. Her mishap occurred just after the judges had narrowed the field of 80 to the final 10: Miss USA, Miss Kosovo, Miss Australia, Miss Spain, Miss Mexico, Miss Colombia, Miss USA, Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Russia, Miss Italy and Miss Venezuela. The show has been a publicity bonanza for Vietnam, where beauty contests are very popular. The contest featured segments on many of the nation's most popular tourist destinations, such as Hue, Hoi An, Sapa and Ha Long Bay.

Emotional and Personality Changes

Inappropriate mood swings, outbursts of tears or laughter, extreme anger, unaccustomed feelings of suspicion, and overwhelming sadness are just part of the bewildering emotional and personality disturbances stroke survivors and their families may have to deal with.

A stroke victim named Gilbert relates: "At times, I get emotional, either laughing or crying over the slightest thing. Once in a while, when I laugh, somebody will ask, ‘How come you’re laughing?’ and I really can’t tell them." This, coupled with problems with balance and a slight limp, prompted Gilbert to say: "I feel as though I’m in some other body, as though I’m somebody else, not the same person I was before the stroke."

Living with mind- and body-altering impairments, few people if any escape feeling a sense of emotional upheaval. Hiroyuki, whose stroke left him with impaired speech and partial paralysis, comments: "Even with time I just didn’t get better. Realizing I would not be able to continue my work as before, I fell into despair. I began blaming things and people and felt as if my emotions would explode. I did not act like a man."

Fear and anxiety are common to stroke victims. Ellen comments: "I have feelings of insecurity when I experience pressure in my head that could warn of a future stroke. I become really fearful if I allow myself to think negatively." Ron explains the anxiety he deals with: "To arrive at correct conclusions is almost impossible at times. Sorting out two or three small problems at once frustrates me. I forget things so quickly that I sometimes cannot remember a decision made a few minutes before. As a result, I make some awful mistakes, and it’s embarrassing to me and others. What will I be like in a few years? Will I be unable to converse intelligently or drive a car? Will I become a burden to my wife?"

High Gasoline Prices

If you live in San Diego county or anywhere for that matter there's no doubt that you are aware of the raising gasoline prices. The price of gas has gotten so high that many of us have change our daily driving habits and has affected our daily lives. I think the prices of gas has gotten so out of control that someone needs to do something about this high prices because it is affecting everyone in one way or another. If this prices will continue to rise like they have been then people gonna stop driving. We just back from the Philippines although our tickets were relatively cheap i hate to find out what it will cost in the year 2010. People are getting rid of large SUV and tracks and buying small economy cars to save money on energy cost. I cant believe that the price of gas has continue to rise and rise and our government has done nothing to stop this out of control rising cost. Someone should be held accountable for this energy problems.
