The blogging world as I used to know it is not what it is today.

Lately I've been noticing small changes to the blogging world, specifically our blogs. Is it me or does it seem like it's getting harder to get jobs from the advertisers? My wife does a good job in staying busy trying to get new advertisers to fill the gap, but it seems like the most popular advertisers are not giving out as many jobs as in the past and my wife is having to work harder to find work. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with this year being an election year for a new president, or is it because of the ongoing sluggish economy, or both. I'm sure there are other bloggers who are in worse situation than we are and we should be grateful for what we do get but it seems like blogging the way I learned it is not what it used to be. I had 2 blogs and recently google stopped by and downgraded my blogs from a PR-2 to a PR-1. Not good. I miss the PR-4 blog that I once had and it seems like reaching that point is so far unreachable at this moment in time. Linking to 366 BPC @ Pinay Sahm.

so sorry to hear about the loss of your PR :-( hope that it will go back soon :-) I agree the higher the PR the better the opportunity :-) Dropping by from BPC.

i have been blogging for a year and yes it has been a great help for my family especially here in the Phils. but if the money is spent there, it would really be not enough. anyway, i also used to have a PR2 blog but all of a sudden, it became N/A, and it does hurt... visiting from 234 BPC. http://www.mommypinks.com/2012/08/21/father-and-sons/

blogging biz is really slow these days. I don't have high PRs too so business is slow in my end.

My blog PR also went down, which I find strange. I don't understand this PR thing at all. :(

I agree, I guess it's the economy and also the competition. There are just too many bloggers and blogging companies or direct advertisers level up in terms of requirements to work with them :-( I remember back in 2008, abundant blogging opportunity for me.
