Nice and tidy garage area

Every Sunday for our field service meeting, our congregation meets up at our friends house. We gather together for our morning service meeting and have a short bible discourse before we head out to our territory for that day. We basically meet in our friend's garage area, although the space isn't that big but because of the garage organization systems that they have, we are able to have enough space for our chairs. I wish we had our own house with a huge garage area so I can turn it into a fitness and at the same time my wife's laundry mat area.  Of course with the help of the right garage organization like cabinets, shelves and other portable storage units to keep my tools and my wife's stuff safe and secured and it will also keep my garage area nice/neat and tidy. I love clutter free and spacious garage and who doesn’t anyway? When things in the house are in order and well organized, it’s calming, relaxing and soothing to our eyes and knowing that our home is clean and environment friendly it feels good inside.

I can only imagine having a nice house with a nice garage would be so inviting and pleasing not only for us but to the visitors as well. Anyway, this is just one of my dreams and hopefully we’ll be able to achieve it someday if not soon and in God’s time too.

Noise and Silence

Who likes a rumbled environment and a noisy neighborhood? No one! But if you’re living in an apartment, in an urban area, with buildings nearby and countless of vehicles coming to and fro, noise will always be hard to combat and stop. It’s terrible when the people living next to your door turn on their speaker’s volume at midnight. They could be enjoying a party while you’re desperate to catch your sleep and not mind them at all. Good thing there’s something we can do about it. By blocking the noise, could be lining your wall with high-density materials that acts like a barrier. Insulation materials like egg cartons absorb vibrations and noticeably lessen the noise.

For more major noises, it’s a good thing that silencers exist nowadays like duct silencers, vibration control and other noise control systems that can reduce the disturbing roar and rumble in the environment. Every one of us is entitled to have our peace of mind, I mean literally. If it’s too noisy and loud, chances are we can’t focus well on our job and other thoughts in mind. Silencers or those improvised noise remedies, quite a help to have some solitude.

Win a dream kitchen makeover

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dr. Oetker. All opinions are 100% mine.

As a father of 2 children and a wife, if someone asked me whats the most satisfying thing i enjoy doing for my family, it would have to be cooking for my family. I love to pour my heart out over the stove and see the end results as my family sits down at the dinner table to eat the food i cooked but after years and years of use and abuse many of our kitchen appliances are getting too old and some dont work so one of my dreams is to have a kitchen makeover. I've heard about a contest called the Dr. Oetker Kitchen Makeover Contest It's open to all canadian residents. Bloggers, you can enter for the chance to WIN a $20,000 Kitchen Makeover. Just pick up a PIN from specially marked packages of Casa di Mama Pizza. The grand-prize winner will get a kitchen makeover with Dr. Oetker Casa di Mama. Also, sign up to become a Savoury Moments Member! If i was to win this kitchen makeover i would invite all my friends to come over our house for a big weekend dinner where there would be non-stop food. Since our oven stopped working when we moved into this apartment 4 years ago, i think the first thing i would want to make is some filipino lechon because i've been wanting to cook that for a long time now but we use a small toaster oven to cook most of our foods and we can't even cook a normal sized chicken in it, thats why i would love to win this kitchen makeover and get back to cooking normal food again. Visit the Dr. Oetker website for complete contest info and rules. Good luck bloggers!

Heating technology has changed

It's funny how heating technology has changed so much since the days that I'm familiar with growing up as a boy back in New England. I can remember living in an old Victorian style two story house in Franklin, Massachusetts and our house heating system was the old oil burner type Boilers. Our house was always cold in the winter time because we couldn't afford to keep our heaters running constantly because of the cost of oil those days. I could remember in the winter time our water pipes used to freeze and break because of the extreme cold temperatures in our city. I will never forget those times.

My, how heating technology for homes has changed since those days. It would have been nice for our family had this new Radiant Floor Heating technology been available back in the 60's and 70's. Using Translucent Pex Tubing installed under the floors, it helps to keep your home warm all year long. I hear this type of home heating is very affordable for most home owners and can save them a lot of money.

Our old house was using the old style iron radiators and many times, some of them just wouldn't work at all so our house would always stay cold. Trying to take a bath or hot shower was always difficult because we had to turn the water on for a long time to get hot water which would waste a lot of water in the process. By switching to Tankless Water Heaters we could have saved a lot of money on our water bill and be able to have instant hot water when we want to. Our old house has a lot of memories but some i would just like to forget.
