Considering a 40 inch TV

I told my wife i want to start looking for a new t.v. to replace the one we have in our living room. It sits on our entertainment center and my son is always standing right in front of it so i want to look around at some new LCD t.v. to protect his eyes. I'm looking around to maybe purchasing one of those 40 Inch TV and i will mount it on the wall so my son can't get too close to it. I don't want him losing his eye sight.
