One of the latest trends in portable entertainment is the car DVD player. Usually installed right into the dashboard, these portable devices are changing the way people think about road trips. Even outdoor activities like camping have become more modern due to televisions located inside of vehicles!
The biggest benefit of this wave of entertainment is that it silences children and noisy passengers. The television is distracting and adding a DVD player makes the passengers able to watch all of their favorite movies, giving them a more personalized experience. Because passengers are enjoying the experience so much, several car models have televisions already installed or a special place in the design for them.
A concern for safety has also been brought to light. Many people believe that the television will be distracting to the driver. For that reason, the televisions are always installed in the back seats of the vehicle. For a van, the television can extend from the roof in the middle row. That way, the driver does not see the TV show or movie and their eyes don’t drift away from the road. The volume can be adjusted, or if the driver feels it is necessary, can require passengers to wear headphones when they watch.

It's too bad they cant make a computer that will never break down, never be outdated, never crash or give error messages and never slow down. Yeah right, like that's ever gonna happen in this life time. I got a call from my wife last week while I was at work telling me she has bad news. I can only imagine what it was. Apparently, the desktop computer she uses got an error message saying "fan failure". Urgghhhh. Not again. We had issues with this in the past and since it was under warranty, we took it to the shop for them to repair but they didn't do too well so I had to take matters into my own hands this time. I'm a firm believer in that old quote "If you want something done right the first time, do it yourself". I replaced the CPU fan and added new heat sink grease to the new fan. It ran quieter and better for a month or two before she started having problems with it again recently. I'm assuming the motherboard was heading south because its about 6 years old and has been having other issues with speed and performance even after I tuned it up, scanned it for malware, viruses, and some other checks. I knew this day was coming soon. The 22" flat panel monitor we bought lasted about 3 years and we were using an older flat panel monitor from my mom's computer. So we had to break down and buy a new computer. I decided to go with my gut feelings and purchase an Imac computer even though I had no idea how to use one. A few days later after using it, I find myself constantly searching on the web about how to do this or how to do that, frequently visiting the apple support page for help. They say that when you get to learn how to use an Imac, you won't ever want to go back to a windows based pc. Right now I have to disagree with that expression since my wife and I are both struggling just to learn how to perform basic functions but maybe that answer will change once I get to learn how apple likes to run the show. And that doesn't include the fact that I'm also trying to transfer all the documents like word, excel, photos and other important documents from the windows based computer to the Imac. This in itself has become a quite a chore. This new computer could be better or could be worse, but only time will tell. Do you own a windows or apple computer? What do you is better? Your thoughts or opinions are always welcome.
