After field service, I took the family to West-field Shopping Center on “H” street and Broadway to do some much needed clothes shopping. While my wife went into Victoria's Secret to get her free gift, I took the kids to the new playground at the shopping center. It’s all been newly remodeled and has figurines just like the playground at Plaza Bonita so that the kids can climb on and slide. They had a lot of fun. There’s also an area where the kids can ride on toy cars, trains and planes but you have to pay for the ride. Here’s a picture of my son doing what he loves to do. PLAY………I wish I was a kid again and not have to have a care in the world but just be a kid.

Creative play for our family

I was having lunch at my work when I saw the commercial of the wikki stix great crafts ideas for kids. I thought it was cool and fun crafts. I’m sure my children would love to have this kind of stuff. My son loves creative play and the fact that this stuff is a clean and mess free, I’m sure my wife would love it because she doesn’t have to worry about cleaning for it’s a mess free art. I found their website and it’s Wikkistix.com and they have versatile stuff that’s not only for preschooler but also for the kids who are in middle school. I think this is an excellent and fun toy for my kids and for our family activity.

Tips for back to school
Having my kids home for 3 weeks has been a mixed blessing. I love having my kids home and spending extra time with them but after 3 weeks the boredom sets in. I am out of craft ideas, it is too cold to go outside and even for them, there are only so many cookies that they can make, decorate and eat. That's why I am so excited that it is time to for them to go back to school. Now I only have to come up with enough activities to entertain them in the afternoons. It is always a little hard for them to transition from vacation to regular school schedule so there are a few things that I do to help ease them in. First, I never make their vacation bedtime differ too much from their normal bedtime. For Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve I let them stay up as late as they want, or in their case can, but other than those 2 days I never extend their bedtime for more than an hour. I also make sure they wake up at a decent time and the night before school starts we pick out school clothes and get their back packs ready. That way in the morning we are not rushed. All we have to do is grab everything and turn on our home security alarm (click here) on our way out the door.

Field trips for all
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lunchables. All opinions are 100% mine.
It’s been a long long time that I haven’t had experience to join a field trip. I think the last time I joined a field trip was 40 years ago. I can’t wait for my son to go to school because I’m sure I will be able to experience that again. When we went to Balboa Park a few months ago we saw a lot of kids wandering around with their teachers. They went to science museum and explored the science field. Some went to natural history museum. Looking at those children’s face's, I can tell how curious they were to know everything. Their eyes were glued looking into the things that the museum have. While I was browsing youtube to find something interesting, I stumble across this video clip entitled “Alien Field Trip” made by Lunchables Lunch. It was so cool that those kids thought that there were really true aliens on our planet and that they were talking to them for real. The people behind the alien’s costume finally revealed themselves to the kids and told them that it was them who pretended to be aliens, kids were laughing out loud.
As far as Lunchables Lunch is concerned, they are having contests right now. They want you to nominate a deserving student in your classroom and who ever is chosen will be one of the 50 students from different classrooms to join the Field Trips For All. You have to let them know who you nominated and why? They would love to know who you think this prize should go to! So what are you waiting for? Join now and for further details visit their website today.
